www.facebook.com/troutsiders This was Jose's first chinook on a fly. "Was not ready for the brute strength of this magnificent creature. Took only about 10 minutes for the fight but what a fight it was. I will never forget this moment, ever. It was an awesome day!" www.facebook.com/troutsiders I may have a fly fishing channel but that doesn't mean I'm a fly fishing snob. We all have the same goal & it's to be in the moment. It definitely got me there. Captain Terry Teves of Hawaiian Style Fishing was a great guide/host for my family fishing trip. The bonitos we caught were great fighters for anyone's standard & we had a blast. I would definitely recommend Hawaiian Style Fishing & Captain Terry for an unforgetable fishing trip in Kauai, HI. www.facebook.com/troutsiders The Stillwater Nymph is a pattern from lake fishing guru, Denny Rickards. It can be taken as a scud, damsel nymph, callibaetis nymph, leech or even a small minnow. All that matters is that fish takes it with reckless abandon. This fly tying instruction is for olive color, but it can be tied in a variety of colors with successful results. Denny knows his stuff. Big at the Bighorn River. But could be easily be a favorite in any river. As far as the name goes, legend has it that even a blind fisherman could catch a fish with this pattern. So easy to tie, yet so deadly in the water. Cheers!Fly Tying Session: Ray Charles Sowbug - YouTube

For the fly tyers that think mop flies are just too bulky and atrocious. BEHOLD the micro mop fly! Just as awesomely effective if not more effective, yet small enough, so we get to keep our fly tying dignity. Enjoy :D Found mini mops from cheap cat toys (check out links below): https://www.petsmart.com/cat/toys/bal... https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcost... https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcost... www.facebook.com/troutsiders This is the second part of our Kauai trip - the saltwater flyfishing. This time, no host or guides... again. Almost hooked on a bonefish but it's not meant to be yet. That's for a diferent vid :D We did catch some very exotic & beautiful reef fishes though with underwater footage & it was a blast. This is the first time I used Sony Vegas editing software so please be kind & enjoy.TROUTSIDERS: KAUAI - Saltwater Experience HD - YouTube
